There are not many OTT players that are as dominant in their local market as Telefonica is with their Movistar+ service. That is why it has been on our radar for a while and as of today, it is available on our devices. The integration was intense and complex, as the app has such a broad array of functionalities, but we managed to get it done.
The key advantage of having the Movistar+ app on your VIDAA Smart TV is that it pretty much replaces the set-top-box otherwise required to access Telefonica’s broad array of services. So just the TV, one remote, and you can watch linear channels, VOD content, or even subscribe to additional services right inside the application.
Movistar+ is a major addition to our Spanish application lineup that already features apps like Mitele, Atres Player, Rakuten TV, DAZN, and RTVe a la carta. And next year’s products will come with some of them on direct access buttons as well.
