If you’re working in the OTT industry you have to know Molotov.TV. They are pioneers when it comes to true internet television. Established in 2014 they’ve been rocking the French market from the foundation up, offering an amazing bouquet of 35 local linear streaming channels to their users absolutely for free and not bundled to any hardware purchase or internet/cable access. No wonder over 10 million people in France signed up for their service already.
From today the service is also available on Hisense VIDAA devices sold in France. But we’ve also added in a little twist to the service. In sync with launching the application, we’ve also integrated a neat feature called a “virtual input”, meaning Molotov.TV, even though it is an HTML5 application, is being treated just like any other source of live TV on your large screen. So if Molotov.TV is your primary source of linear TV, you select them as a virtual input and when you power on your VIDAA TV, you’ll be redirected straight into the app and into your favorite linear channels. Extremely friendly to the user. The feature is currently deployed to devices via an over the air update and should be available on all VIDAA devices by the end of 2020.
Of course Molotov.TV does not stop with 35 free linear channels, they also offer add-on packages, like sports, kids, or special ethnic packages for ex-pats. And all those are also available on our devices.
